Yauxali Blesses His Son with Sacred Water

Yauxali, himself a shaman, initiates his son as a shamanic apprentice by cleansing him with water from the cave of Tatewarí, belowTeacata. These are the waters of Our Grandfather (fire) who is the prototypal shaman and guide to wisdom. It was the beginning of an apprenticeship that he has continued by making pilgrimages to many sacred spots.
