Petition for Student Aid
In May 2005 we received a formal request from the Union of Young Huichol Students in Guadalajara asking if we could help them cover some of their college related expenses. The request was signed by 10 undergraduate students. They explained that although they are receiving scholarships that cover 100% of their college tuition, they are still in need of additional financial assistance to help cover the cost of books, materials, transportation, food, and housing. Their request is for $600.00 dollars per year, per student. With so few Huichol attending college we feel this is a very worthy project to support.
